On Good Friday, we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross. As our students prepared for and experienced a re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross, they were reminded that we do not just recall His sacrifice, but embody it. We are called to live in a way that mirrors His compassion, humility and selflessness. May this day be one of prayer and offering and may our Lord always guide you to seek and find hope in suffering and loss. The cross is a constant reminder of His everlasting love. ✝️

‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:31-40 Stage 3 put their HEAD, HEART & HANDS to work as they demonstrated Compassion in Action this last fortnight. Collectively, the stage packaged over 100 Vinnies Snack Packs to be distributed to those in our local area in need. Prior to packaging, students reflected on what the Gospel of Matthew teaches us about the importance of doing and giving to others through Biblical Micrography. As we do for others, we do for Christ because we see Him in them. This week they also unpacked the 4Cs and reflected on what they ‘C’herished, were ‘C’hallenged by, what ‘C’hanged in them, and where they saw or felt ‘C’hrist in the experience. ❤️

As the Easter Triduum begins, we reflect on the evening of Maundy Thursday, or Holy Thursday. Today marks the institution of the Eucharist and the washing of the disciples’ feet as Jesus Himself models service, humility and hope. Students reflected during the week with their classroom teacher on the significance of this event and explored how they can love one another, as Jesus loved, each day. ❤️

📸 Take a look at Year 2 in action during Mathematics this week! Students have been working hard in their warm up activity ‘handfuls’, building strong number sense. 🔢 They then learnt about the topic of ‘area’, using concrete materials to measure and compare different surfaces. What great mathematicians! 👏🤩

Today we celebrated Palm Sunday with a beautiful liturgy led by our Stage 3 and Kindergarten students. 🌿 It was wonderful to see our youngest and oldest learners come together in faith and community. ❤️ Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where people welcomed Him by waving palm branches. 🙏🏼

🌟 Number Sense in Kindergarten! 🌟 Our Kindergarten students have been exploring number sense through hands-on learning. They estimate collections, organise them on tens frames, use their knowledge of tens and ones to find totals, and label their work with numerals. Students are also challenged to think beyond their number by finding one more, one less, and even ten more and ten less! We are proud to see their confidence continue to grow as young mathematicians. 🔢👏

Our Year 1 students have been exploring materials in Science! 👩🏻🔬 They tested which objects are waterproof and whether they float or sink, learning about the properties of different materials through interactive experiments. 💧

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.
